Last Day in Europe

We went to the Deutsche Museum as it was one of the world’s museum. Being an engineer(rolling my eyes), I was quite fascinated with the stuff they had. The chemistry part was cool with mixing stuff. The mechanical part too were cool. They were testing my physics. :P

Anyway, it was the last round of seeing Munich by foot. Though I got a late hang over so it was cut short. Here are some of my last pictures of my Europe trip.

The yellow and black checkers flag is the symbol of Munich.

The hostel we stayed in. :) Met excellent friends there.

One last picture together.

Everyone with their eyes shut. :)

Me too. Hahaha. Everyone was tired.

So, we were all on the S-Bahn to the airport and our flight got delayed due to bad weather. The airport sucked as they didn’t have anything good in their duty-free. Everyone was quite tired and everyone slept quietly for the next 1h 20m back to London Stansted.

The End.

Day 3 in Munich

So, this was our last full day in Germany and we decided to go to the Castles in Füssen. They are very famous. I’ll let you guess where have you seen this castle before. I think should have seen it before in your life somewhere. If not, I’m quite certain you had a bad bad childhood. :)

Neuschwanstein Castle. Does this castle looks familiar?

Hohenschwangau Castle. Another side castle.

The model of the Castle. It was never completed.

On the side note going to the Castle, I had a misfortune event. Shea Maine realised that she lost her wallet during the train ride. So, I went back to the train to look for it and guess what. The train locked all the doors and started move. I was heading back to Munich. I nearly died. So, I took the next stop out and waited for the next 30 minutes back to Füssen.

It was kinda scary at first because I was stranded on this cement platform with not a single cover or shelter as it was going to rain. Though the scenery helped me a bit. The fields were empty which kept on going for miles and the mountains were at the background. Perfect scenery but at the wrong time. Sorry. No pictures were taken then because I had left everything with Shea Maine. Luckily, I had my handphone with me and I gave a quick ring to the others about my situation. The power of handphones nowadays. :)

Rebecca and I. We were roommates and my iPod lifesaver. :)

Theresa, Tom, Me and Shea Maine. Our last drink in the bar. Man, did I drink a lot. :)

Day 2 in Munich III

Okay. There were a lot of walking. So, after the episode where I got wet and went through the Naked Garden, we continued our little adventure towards the Residence. And also, we went back to Street Live Festival.

The Residence.

Bicycle hockey. That’s a first. :)

Human chess. I told you. Very cool.

I haven’t seen roller blading live before. They were basically dancing. Amazing.

Skating while juggling. Wow.

Shea Maine and Theresa – pool buddies.

Tom from good old England and me.

After a looooooooooong day, we decided to go the bar in our hostel and just chilled by taking a few drinks. Mine was mostly cocktails. Yummy alcohol!

Day 2 in Munich II

I have to say that we were really using the U-Bahn and S-Bahn to get everywhere in Munich. Since we got a 3 day pass, so we better use it to the max even it is only for 1 stop. :P
Either way, after the Olympic Park we wondered of the city again and we bumped into a Street Live Festival. It was totally amazing. The streets were filled with people. Tonnes of food. Games. Everything you can imagine.

Roller hockey. And behind is the Universirt of Munich. Why can’t we have beautiful universities in London?

Radley Beer. This is the smallest mug we could get. The next one was 1 liter. Siao.
Beer Garden. There were tonnes of people and this is even full yet when it comes to the Octoberfest.

Swans with their ducklings cygnets. :P

Ah. Here. Where Shea Maine dropped her glasses into the freezing cold water. I was all wet.

Day 2 in Munich

After wondering around in the town centre of Munich, I decided to go to the Olympic Park. So, Shea Maine and I got there by using their U-Bahn and being German, it was very efficient. Terrence and Hui Sei went to Dachau to see the concentration camp for World War II instead. The day was also perfect so we went jalan-jalan.

Olympic Tower.

BMW headquarters and their new museum on the left.

We didn’t know that there was a BMW museum in that park. So, we decided to enter it since it was quite cheap.

One of the first motorcycles they made.

Retro cars.

Vroom vroom. :)

I didn’t know they made bicycles too. :)

F1 one car. Sugooooooooi.

Their main stadium. Something different as they used the curvature of the hills to make the stadium.

Then we headed off to the town centre to find something more exciting.

Munich Day I

The city of Munich. We took the train from Salzburg(which costed 27 Euros) and it took 2 hours to get there. We got in at 2.30 p.m and we planned to waste no time. So, we went to the town centre and did some sightseeing.

Town Hall. Though I was disappointed they netted everything to prevent the pigeons from perching on the statues.

This was a really good group. They played my favourite – Canon twice. Good entertainers.

Frauenkirche.

And the inside.

St. Michael’s Church. Very pretty.

Day 3 in Salzburg

Day 3 in Salzburg and this time we(Shea Maine and I) focused a lot in the old and new town. Meanwhile, Terrence and Hui Sei went to the Ice Caves.
Anyway, it was another glorious day in Salzburg. I got to love summer in Europe.

This is the view greeting us every morning. Hostel with a view. :)

Salzburg Cathedral.

That’s the Salzburg Square.

Okay. I’m tiny here.

This architecture is unique with the pillar going through the altar. I should have been an architect.

Ah. This is where they sang Do-Re-Mi from the Sound of Music. The garden.

University of Salzburg.

Shea Maine with a BIG BIG ROUND head. :)

This was our last day in Salzburg. The following day it was to Munich. I had a few sausages and they were yummy. Overall, it was a pretty city. First destination completed.

Day 2 in Salzburg II

So, after the festival in town, we decided go to St Wolfgang the place where Maria famously went ‘The hills are alive with the sound of music.’ Actually, we would have taken ‘The Sound of Music’ tour but everyone said it was a rip-off. Anyway, It was an amazing place with a scenery.

You would want to go to a hill dancing around with a pinafore singing! This is a definitely Austria for you.

An amphibian plane used in WWII I think.

Can or not Sifu? I think this is super pretty with the background. :)

Here are some pictures I took when we were on for a 30 minute boat ride around the lake. The boat I think went like 0.4 knots. The funny part was Terrance’s and Hui Sei’s boat mati-ed somewhere and drifted to the other side of the lake. Luckily, it wasn’t like Titanic or anything.

Okay, this picture seemed that we were extremely high or happy. I’m amazed at myself too. :P

Either way, the day was well spent. Beautiful weather, stunning scenery, and good food too – sausages.

Day 2 in Salzburg

What a glorious day for day 2. The sky was flawless and the sunny was out at full force. So, we decided to walk around town and stumbled into a festival – Corpus Christi.

However, the day started me swearing quite badly. Haha. Well, the Church started ringing the bells at 7 a.m for the festival and then a fly went into my ear!!! My beauty sleep all ruined since I had like 2 hours sleep before that. The others thought it was a dream someone swearing. Hehehe.

The festival in the Cathedral Square. Lots of various monks and people were there.

The Archbishop of Salzburg I think.

Mirabellgarden. It is so pretty. More pictures on the garden later.

The band playing in the garden. Very nice.

First Day in Salzburg II

After visiting the fortress, we walked around in the old town. The usual touristy stuff.

Painted eggs.

MORE painted eggs. I seriously have no idea why there were so many.

This reminded me of Siew Ping’s blog. Lol!

Me ermmmm okay la posing. :D But at least I get to sit on the window sill.

Shea Maine and I being a bit crazy. Though we laughed out heads off until our tummies were painful.

Okay we were trying to smile with our eyes open. Can la. :P

Well, that’s day one for you. So, pretty much it was very good.
